STAYING INFORMED: SAFETY INFORMATION FROM LSU

As we begin a new semester, LSU would like to remind you to subscribe to some helpful — and important — communication and safety tools and social media platforms.  We want you and your student to be well-informed! The following information comes from a campus-wide email that your student(s) received last week. We’ve condensed the information in order to share the details that you might find relevant:

If you see something, say something:

If you see something suspicious on campus, please report it!  We want to hear from you, and you can even report suspicious behavior anonymously.  Learn more at: http://www.lsu.edu/seeitsayit.

Receive emergency text messages from LSU:

Register your cell number to receive emergency text messages in case of an immediate safety issue on campus by visiting http://my.lsu.edu/ and clicking on “Personal Preferences” and “Emergency Contacts.”  While there, fill out your emergency contact information, too.  There is no fee to subscribe to the emergency text message service, but regular text messaging rates through your provider will apply.

Safety messages from the LSU Police Department:
