Today’s post comes to us from Megan Wagner, a fourth year student majoring in Communication Disorders. She is from Chalmette, Louisiana and is an LSU Ambassador as well as a student worker for the Family Association.
The LSU Family Association is dedicated to helping families year round with their transition to LSU. To do this, The Family Association hosts a variety of events throughout the year for families and their students to help them connect with LSU staff, other LSU families, and to help members reunite with their own family every once in a while.
The Family Association recently hosted a dinner before the LSU School of Music’s Tigerama Event, held in the Pete Maravich Assmebly Center on October 23rd. Before everyone headed to the assembly center to see the LSU Tigerband, Golden Girls, Color Guard and many other performances, members of the Family Association were invited to enjoy a complimentary dinner and to mingle with other LSU families in attendance for this year’s annual Tigerama concert. Let’s just say, what can be better than free food, free raffles, some souvenirs and great music?! Everyone was decked out in their purple and gold tailgate attire, and since we couldn’t show our LSU spirit in Death Valley this past weekend, this event was definitely a great way to get your LSU fix for the week!
We loved seeing all of our LSU families come together to celebrate this wonderful tiger tradition and look forward to seeing everyone at future events. Be on the look out for e-mails from the LSU Family Association for upcoming event dates and times, and as always GEAUX TIGERS!
