Meet Morrisa Brewer. She serves as a Graduate Assistant in Center for Academic Success. Morrisa graduated from LSU in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is currently a second year grad student in the Counselor Education Program at LSU.

Content Specific Support provides resources such as tutoring and supplemental instruction to assist students succeed in historically difficult courses. Instructional Support is provided for faculty who wish to assist students increase their learning potential.
We offer academic support to help you succeed in your courses. Tutoring is offered on-campus and on-line for free. Supplemental Instruction is a program that provides weekly study sessions for students in specific historically difficult courses. Please take advantage of these wonderful resources.

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a series of weekly study sessions offered for students enrolled in historically difficult courses. It is open to all students who want to improve their understanding of course material and improve their grade. Each session is guided by an SI leader who has previously taken the course and is prepared to share with you what they have learned about how to study. The leader attends the class and works in close association with the instructor so that sessions are relevant to the material covered. This is an opportunity to meet other people in your class. Students who attend SI sessions regularly earn a better grade. Sessions are free and voluntary, so you have nothing to lose. Come give us a try.
